Pickup and drop off
Pick up: At any hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter or bus office (If the passenger stays outside the Old Quarter)
- The actual pickup time will be reconfirmed via email / WhatsApp by our operators. Please be ready at your hotel lobby 10 minutes before actual pickup time and also inform your hotel receptionist that you are waiting for the picking up of the Group Bus office
- If your hotel is located outside the pick-up area, please come to the meet-up location below at least 30 minutes before departure time
Drop-off: at bus office or any hotel in Sapa town center
- Once you get confirmation from us (Via email / WhatsApp / Line / WeChat), your tickets have been reserved. At the meeting point, there’s no need to show any confirmation or have e-tickets. You just need to tell the operators your name to get in the bus
- Each passenger can bring 1 standard-sized luggage and 1 small handbag
- Seat arrangements will be made by bus operators
Cancellation Policies
- More than 48 hours: USD 1.5 / ticket as handling fee will be charged
- 24 hours to 48 hours before starting time: 50% of the total tour price will be refunded
- Within 24 hours before starting time: No refund

If I had to do the trip again I would chose this sleeper bus for both ways. The bus was a little odd with two levels of reclined bunks and not much room other than in your seat. The bunks were adjustable but didn’t quite sit upright. All in all they were very comfortable even over the very bumpy Vietnamese highways. There were several bathroom breaks at roadside stops. Be warned there is a small cash fee to use some of the bathrooms. Temperature and lighting was adjustable in your own space making it nice to relax, sleep, or listen to a podcast. There was even wifi on the bus, although the performance was spotty at times. Only thing I would add is a way to charge your phone at your seat.

We travelled on the VIP service from SaPa to Hanoi and despite the largely negative views this was a very pleasant experience. I am 6ft 2 and was comfortable throughout the entire journey.
Driving did feel a bit erratic at times and travelling down from SaPa was a little unnerving but that’s par for the course once you decide to bus it instead of getting the train.
I wouldn’t hesitate to book again and cannot fault the experience. I have travelled on much worse
